fear.. fear.

hands shaking.

light is haunting me. light found me.
light won't let me go.

light is my prison.
light is here to stay.

another one of my nameless creatures. the second one.
this piece has been in my mind for so long. the first time i looked at the original image.
it was in my heart, but i needed the right emotion to start it.
unfortunately i needed some fear.
unfortunately, fear came to me.

i needed to upload a smaller version of the piece, to give the right emotion, through a "whole" look at it.

this is part of the Nemos series.

:: Nemo ::

In my imaginary, a Nemo is someone who has lost its own identity. Someone who forgot his origin, or never found one. Someone without hope. Someone under the rain. Someone lost. Someone alone.
Nemo is whoever without a home. Nemo is a broken memory. Shattered dreams. Isolation.
Nemo is pieces of glass. Under the feet. Deep in the heart.
Nemo is perdition. Nemo is a curse.
Nemo is pain. Expiation.
Nemo is a long journey. An exile.
Nemo is someone inprisoned. With or without bars.

The band Nightwish wrote a beautiful song about it, that deeply represents my concept.

This is an amazing image!! This is the first time that I have seen any kind of artwork where light represents a threat rather than a form of salvation. I like the lack of textures and colors in this image; the white here portrays the nothingness and insignificance of Nemo; which means "no one" in Latin. To me being lost in complete light would be the same as being lost in complete darkness; only the difference is that a light this intense would hurt my eyes and darkness doesn't hurt; and the darkness can be killed with a little light but how do you get rid of lots of light??? Also; I like how you chose to place the creature on the top left corner instead of on the bottom; it gives you the impression that light is coming from every direction and it will not stop haunting the creature. This image brings the Nightwish song as you mentioned in the description; only this is scarier than the song and it's presented in a very simplistic way.
Thank you very much for showing this image; it shows that scary images don't have to be so dark and full of textures and you just made my day!!

this comment is brilliant, it was you to make my day. 'cause not only you stopped by here and took your time to let me know that you appreciated this piece... but also you told me your thoughts and feelings about the theme of the piece. so you gave me back more than i could ask for: your vision of light/chasing is something that makes me ponder .. hehe, i know the piece is mine but i'm too emotionally involved in my works to analyze them :)
